Hunter boots- glossy v matte?

I love the glossy Hunter boots- but I'm worried about the finish- does it scratch? lose it luster? get dull?

What is your experience?

I have the glossy aubergine ones and they get cloudy about every other time I wear them. I bought one of those little Hunter shoe shiner things ($5) and it makes them look new each time I use it. Annoying, but I guess it's just what happens with real rubber. I have no experience with the matte ones :-(

My dds have the glossy. Got the boot cleaner and they look new after a polish. Go with the glossy!

I have black glossy Hunters that I have worn for a few years, no problems at all!
