It's hard to believe it's time for BTS shopping already! Please post deals to this thread, and we'll start a new thread each week. As always, YMMV due to regional price differences.

Any really great deals for the large .77oz glue sticks?

Target!!! Their regular price was I believe $4.9x for a pack of SIX! It's the best price I've seen anywhere (including Walmart)! I'm holding off in case they go on sale but if they don't, I'm buying a few packs to keep in the school supply stock cabinet:) Seems most people around here are buying the multi-packs of the smaller sizes but our school requests the 0.77oz sticks too.

Walmart carried a 2-pack (I think, if I remember right) of an even larger glue stick size. Don't remember the price, but it's there if folks need the GIANT JUMBO ones!

eta: These are for the Elmers brand - we are requested to buy name brand stuff so I'm not sure how the generics are priced.

Kmart has folders. Pencils and 70 page notebooks are 10 cents.

Oh rats! I bought the composition books when they were 50 cents. Bummer!! I'm trying to see how far under the school kit ($44!!!!!) I can get. ;)

I just read the fine print. You must spend 25 dollars if not they are .25.

I got them .50 each at Walgreens on 7/15 (.99 for a two pack), so the sale is over but maybe come back around? I think mine were .71oz or something slightly off but close enough. I needed three but will send in the fourth since they are slightly undersized.

I think it's spend $5. At least that's what it is at my store. I also found out yesterday with a $5 purchase you could get up to 5 EACH of the pencils, notebooks, and folders. Not 5 total.

Second vouch for Target. The 6-pack of .77 oz Elmer's glue sticks was $4.73 (78c a stick). They didn't have many of these 6-packs - it wasn't listed on their website when I searched. There were more 3-packs of .77 oz Elmer's glue sticks for $3 in the store.

I tried to price shop online but it was a bit of a pain since a lot of places and deals were quoting for the smaller stick sizes (i.e. Target's 18-ct pack for $5, or Walgreen's 2-ct pack for 49c). The best deal for the larger sticks that I found online was ~$10 on Amazon for a 12-pack, and it wasn't the purple kiddie kind.

I'm just relieved at not paying $2.50 for one stick. Our school asked for a dozen.

I got an email from Toys R Us saying they are having a one day only sale valid on 7/23 on Crayola 24ct Crayons. You can get 3 boxes for $1 today.

Fine Print:
must buy three for offer, limit 2 offers per customer

My Rite Aid didn't have any 3 packs of the larger glue sticks. They had single packs but they were $2.70/ea. Did you see larger 3ct ones?

If your store doesn't have the 6-packs, it looks like the 3-packs will be on sale starting Sunday the 27th for $2.50 -- the ad shows a three pack, doesn't say what size but it looks like the .77 oz to me.

Does anyone know if these (Elmers, 0.77oz) have ever gone on sale for less than 78c per stick? I went ahead and bought 2 of the 6-packs at Target because it's the best price I've seen anywhere and I didn't want them to run out! But just saving them for next year:)

According to my records, the last two years, I got them at Target for $2 per 3-pack. I seem to recall it was closer to the end of "back to school season," and we start school here after Labor Day so depending on where you are it may be too late for you. I think the first year they were just on sale for that price and last year it was a Cartwheel deal.

ETA: Looks like they were $2 for the 3-pack the week of 8/11/13, AND there was a 20 percent off Cartwheel. Hope that happens again!
