Imaginext...favorite sets?

I am looking for an older Imaginext for a soon to be 5 year old boy? He has the castle and space shuttle already. Do you have an older set that your kiddos love? Looking a little at the Sky Racers aircraft carrier or firehouse or dragons castle? Any suggestions? Thanks!

My boys like the city rescue set. They also have a castle and the Monsters Inc set.

We loved the fire station and the castle. (my almost-7 year old still plays with his castle)


The aircraft carrier didn't get much use and it was LARGE to store and unwieldy to work with.

We've gotten a lot of play out of the air craft carrier and pirate ship.

DS2 just got the rescue city for his 7th bday and it has joined the others going strong.

My boys like all things Imaginext. The pirate ship was our first piece and it still gets played with almost daily.

The superhero stuff is most popular with them. The Eagle Talon castle and the Ninja castle are also popular. They never play with the aircraft carrier or the space shuttle here. My 2 younger kids are just really into Superheroes, knights, and ninjas :)

Our city and bat cave both get used a lot (often together) along with lots of vehicles by both my 4 DS and almost 6 year old DD. We have the superman one and batman jail too but those don't seem to get as much play. DS is currently wanting the pirate ship too but we have a playmobil pirate ship and I can't decide if that would be overkill!

My 3 and 5 year old LOVE the bat cave, and it gets tons of play when their friends come over, too. It's probably one of the most played with items in our house.

Probably because of shipping. It'd be a PAIN to ship because of the size of the box needed. We gave ours away earlier this summer.

I could barely fit that aircraft carrier in my car. It went back. We love all the older "city" sets and ocean ones.

Our dinos get the most play, but my boys love the Batcave and Gotham City jail too.
