I need a raincoat. It seems like we get a few very rainy days in the fall and spring and I'm never prepared. Any recommendations?

I like the Boden Mac, but it seems a bit too dressy for what I need it for. I am a SAHM. I need something for running kids to school/activities, maybe soccer games, and I will be walking DD home from school this year too. I like a longer length - so maybe more of a parka rather then a jacket.

After looking online the best I have come up with so far is this from lands end - it looks good/fine, but not very exciting.

I tried a jacket similar to this at the Eddie Bauer Outlet store, and it was really quite sharp looking:

They have an insulated version as well:

I didn't need a rain jacket at the time, so I didn't buy it, but I was tempted!!

I think I saw a Cole Haan packable raincoat in several color choices at Costco for about $50 or under. I think it came in an unusual iridescent tan, gray, black, blue and maybe a red. It was longer in length, like above the knee/trench length, I think.
