Is anyone able to compare the Container Store's Multi-Purpose Bins to the Cabinet Binz at BBB? The MPB are so popular I'm wondering if/why they are better than the BBB ones, which are easier for me to get and I can use a coupon.

Cabinet Binz: http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/store/product/interdesign-reg-cabinet-binz-trade-plastic-bin/207773?Keyword=binz

I have a ton of the MPB and none of the Cabinet Binz, but just by looking at the product page it looks like not only are the CB a whole lot more expensive, you'd need a lot more of them to do the same job as the MPB. The CB are meant to be stacked, which the MPB are not, and the CB look like they're a harder plastic (and completely clear, which could be nice). The MPB comes in much bigger sizes. Those are the differences I see. I hope that helps!

I think that even after you factor in shipping for the MPB and the coupon for the CB, the MPB cost a lot less.

I have some bins that look like Cabinet Binz (and the name sounds familiar), and they are much shorter than the Multi-purpose bins. I like them both, but I use them for different purposes. The Binz are great in the fridge to hold apples/pears/fruit (tall enough only for one layer), and a slightly taller divided one for jars/condiments, but I use the multi-purpose bins in my pantry and deep freezer. The Binz are not flexible at all, while the multi-purpose bins have some flex so I can squish them together a bit if needed.

Yes, you are right. I'm not sure what I was looking at when I thought the MPB cost more. :\

I have both and I agree that they are very different. I actually use the CabinetBinz in the refrigerater and the MPB on the floor or my pantry.

I prefer using Sterilite bins on my pantry shelves: http://www.sterilite.com/ProductCategory.html?ProductCategory=21&section=1

I bought a set of Binz from Costco last year and use them in my drawers as they are shallow. The tall one looks comparable to a MPB except a thicker plastic so I think it would be sturdier than a MPB. I've had a MPB crack but it was in the trunk of my van and who knows what happened to it - they are a thinner plastic. I am HOOKED on the MPBs, though, and I use them everywhere they fit lol
