Which fuggs for me? Help me choose pls

I've never had any, but my feet are freezing all winter. I got two pairs recently to try on, but cannot commit to either. Shorter chocolate brown ones from Costco or taller gray ones from Sam's club.

Typically I love merrell shoes and boots, but I'm having a hard time finding any that are cute and comfy. A DF gave me a $200 gift card to the mall, and I could use it to get some real uggs or something else from nordstrom. I love comfortable shoes that are good for walking, as I can walk to pick up DC from school if the weather is nice.

Which of these boots would you keep? Dark brown short or tall gray?

I love grey as a neutral. I have chestnut uggs, but would love a pair of tall grey button ones, too!

I really love mine. DH bought them for me as a Christmas gift last year as a surprise. DD1 mentioned to him that I had tried them on at Nordstrom and they showed up under the tree! I wear them around town and as slippers. Super cozy!

Highly recommended on this board. So warm and comfy. Traditional looking Uggs are kind of out, and the Brooks are a more modern version with the same benefits. The dark brown is awesome.

I get bearpaws from nordstrom rack. They are awesome and the ones at NR were better quality than the ones we got at macys. There are different types- the ones at NR were premium but that might not be consistent.

OP here,
I returned the low brown ones, and i'm trying to decide on the gray ones. I'm LEANING toward a different style, as discussed in another thread. Maybe just a good Merrell captiva launch boot with an LLB snowboot for the other use. I kinda realize I may not have enough leggings to really need them.
