I have been a size 10-14 (medium or large) depending on the brand and style for my entire adult life (I would think I would look very anorexic if I weighed any less than 130 and I am 5'6" as an adult). I find shopping for clothes to often be a chore because most if what I like or is posted on blogs like Pinterest Made Me Do It looks better on women who are like the author is a nice size 4 (a size I have never been, I went from a little kids 14 straight into a misses 8 petite (that was the WORST, I felt like was shopping in grandma land) or a juniors 9 at 12 yrs. old) so I am very reluctant to wear unstructured flowy sweaters (I do have a longer cardigan or two that I like and don't accentuate my larger size, but the blardigan from the Nordies sale did nothing for me), skinny jeans, shirts tucked in, tunics, and leggings (I haven't worn a pair if leggings in 20 yrs!). I feel completely out of place in the fashion world due to my perceived limitations. I also have really large wide feet too so the cute shoes in the shoe blogs usually don't work for me either. Does anyone else feel that way?

Try some of these blogs:

Also, there are women of all shapes and sizes on YLF including lots of plus sized women posting outfits. And Angie tries to include plus sizes in her list of picks.

There's

AJ Wears Clothes (http://ajwearsclothes.com/)
Franish (http://franish.blogspot.ca/)

And I'm going to add Putting Me Together (http://www.puttingmetogether.com/), though the blogger is smaller, because her outfit suggestions totally work for the 10-12.

I like Katie at www.hemsforher.com . She wears a 14-16.
I also like Alison at www.wardrobeoxygen.com. She wears a 10-12.

They are both different. Katie focuses on more trendy clothes and seems to love Old Navy. Alison will focus on better brands and tends to lean toward more professional wear.

And I get what you are saying. It's tough when plus size clothes are too big, but regular misses are cut too thin. I've been on a weight loss journey and wear anywhere from a 10 to a 14, depending on brand and cut. It's crazy.
