We are going at the end of the month for my daughter's 5th birthday. Well, that was the excuse anyway :)

What shoes do you find most comfortable for the kids?

My kids have worn Crocs for all of our trips, I think. I don't know how those would be this time of year, but if it's warm enough for them, they might work well for you.

We went in late May/early June so it was too warm to wear closed sneakers. DS1 was completely comfortable wearing his pedipeds with open air type of scandals. He also wore crocs around the hotel/pool and in evenings.

Mine wore sneakers. We wear sneakers in the heat of summer, too.

We were there in April. Both boys wore sneakers and DD wore Keen style sandals.

We've done athletic sandals (open toe). Last year they wore the LLBean ones and they were great. It's nice to be able to get them wet, and keep wearing them until dry. Both my kids and I do better with "less" on our feet...sneakers seriously hurt at the end of the day, just because it's touching all of your foot, rubbing, sweating, etc. Same problem with the closed-toe keen-type sandals.

I just accept the risks associated with wearing open-toed sandals:)

And crocs for the pool.

Crocs or their everyday sneakers.

Thanks guys!! I feel better now. We have some summer Pedipeds and crocs that still fit so now I don't feel the pressure of breaking in new shoes.

are you using a stroller? I was concerned about DC's feet hurting, too, but honestly, they didn't do as much walking as I though b/c of the stroller. Even when they wanted to walk, sometimes we made them ride b/c it was faster, safer in the crowds, etc.

are you using a stroller?

Yes!! Mainly to lug stuff and, like you said, get to places quicker. Did you take yours everyday?
