Booties?

I'm thinking of getting a pair of booties. Maybe grey suede or a camel? Something that will go with everything and that can be dressed up/down and which would also work for business casual.

Heel needs to be flat or not more than an inch or so high since I can't walk in heels. Suggestions? Does anyone have a pair they love?

I got two pairs this season. Ine is a Sam Edelman one with cowboy fringe on the outside that has fringe - I saw a woman wearing them and loved the look, also great reviews in zappos. I can't remember what they are called snd dint know how to link things here but I will post again. They have a slight heal. I also got s black leather pair at a boutique last week (they go with pleather jeans). I had resisted booties but I really love them.

I just ordered the Clarks Spye Hale from Amazon and the Sam Edelman Petty from Zappos. They are nearly identical, but I ordered them in different colors. I'll post when I get them to let you know how they feel. I may end up keeping both:)

I just ordered the Clarks Spye Hale from Amazon and the Sam Edelman Petty from Zappos. They are nearly identical, but I ordered them in different colors. I'll post when I get them to let you know how they feel. I may end up keeping both:)

Thank you so much for this! No, I don't already know it, LOL. I have no idea HOW to wear booties. I actually need to see if the look even works for me...they just seemed a bit more versatile/season-spanning than high boots.

I was going to buy some Sam Edelman Petty booties, but was indecisive since I like the sole/heel on the suede better, but suede can be tough to wear once the weather gets bad, salt is in parking lots, etc. I found a pair of knockoffs (still real leather, very similar look) at TJ Maxx for $40, and I've been pretty happy with them. I won't feel badly about getting a 2nd pair in a different color leather vs. suede. The brand is a house brand I think and started with an A. I will have to go look and update later with the brand. I've heard the Petty's quality has declined in recent years, although I don't know if that's true. I like the Clarks Spye and have looked at those as well. My feet are really small and they are often OOS or not available in my size, or if there's an amazon code, my size is only available from third party sellers. No free ship/free returns. As a result, I'm happy for now with my knockoffs.

I was able to score a pair of Sam Edelman Petty's in grey suede last summer at the Rack for about $60. They are super comfortable and cute. I won't wear them in crappy weather, but they are so comfy that I have considered getting a leather pair too.

I thought I'd update now that I've tried ever bootie under the sun.
I love the Sam Edelman Petty in black suede. I was not crazy about it in the brown. The Clarks Spy Hale was not comfortable at all. I also went to Target today to try to talk myself into the nearly identical bootie they have, but there is no comparison. The Petty hugs the ankle in a good way and hits at just the right spot. The toe is shaped perfectly. Petty is the winner by a landslide.
