I have B/G twins that are turning 5. DS wants a castle with knights and DD wants a castle with princesses. They are willing to play together. Any suggestions for a castle toy with knights and princesses that will accommodate both interests? The ones I find seem to lean one way or the other.

TIA!!

What about something like this (http://www.amazon.com/Melissa-Doug-Deluxe-Folding-Medieval/dp/B000NV9FR0/ref=sr_1_1?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1414000870&sr=1-1&keywords=castle) with Schleich knights and princesses or TOOBs of figures or something like that?

What about Melissa and Doug's midevil folding castle in tan and the princess and knight dolls?

http://www.amazon.com/Melissa-Doug-Deluxe-Folding-Medieval/dp/B000NV9FR0/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1414001708&sr=8-2&keywords=melissa+and+doug+castle

You buy the dolls separately, so you can buy sets that you like. It is listed for younger kids, but my 9 year old still plays with it. She uses the M&D princess set, calico critters, and other small figures in her play.

I was also going to recommend the M&D castle. We have that one, and then I have a few of the imaginext castle toys to go with it.

.

My daughter fell in love with this one at a toy store and I got it for her for Christmas when she was 4 or 5. it was set up with the schleich (sp?) princesses and knights and she used it with those and others.

The M and D one posted seems great though and better for 2 person play but thought I'd post this if you wanted a cheaper option. It is a super sturdy kind of cardboard (almost like wood)

We have the folding Melissa and Doug version too. The "boy" color is very neutral. We use Schleich knights with it, and I know there is a king and queen in the mix :)

We have a large colletion of the Playmobil knights and castles and they have been loved for 4+ years now. We bought the first castle when Ds1 was about 4yo. We have the smaller folding version, a little like this one. (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009CZW6K6/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_dp_ss_3?pf_rd_p=1944687642&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B003AQBWCG&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=0QNRVKZK9GTFBKTHD85V) We have a schleigh dragon or two as well.

Thanks all! You have given me some great options and definitely helped to narrow the list. Thanks!
