Best deal was at Brookstone. I used that Groupon or Living Social deal, $25 for $50. They also sold it cheaper at Brookstone online.
That was about a year ago. I don't know if those deals are still available but posted just in case they were.
But if you can, let your kids play with it first. My kids don't play with them.
I bought 2 boxes because I felt it was a good deal, got great reviews. I like them though. It's a cool toy.

Tegu should also have a Cyber Monday sale. Looking through my old emails, Amazon had some on sale during the first week of December. If you check last year's Amazon thread, it was posted there.

It's hard to say if there will be a better price between now and Christmas, but this is definitely the best deal right now. Last year, Tegu popped up on Groupon and also, Amazon price matched Zulily when they featured Tegu, but there's no guarantee that will happen this again year.

I definitely think it's better to buy a bigger set. We just have the small pouch of blocks for DD (it was a Lightning Deal last year, so it became a stocking stuffer) and it doesn't hold her interest. A friend of mine bought the larger set, along with the cars & magnetic wheels, and her kids seem to enjoy it more.

OK, I just bit the bullet - the 52 piece set in the Explorer Tints was out of stock, so I got the 40 piece set for $82.50. They waived shipping since I was trying to get the larger set. This is our resident builder DD2's "big" holiday gift. Let's hope she loves them!

I'm beginning to have a tiny bit of buyers remorse remembering I paid that much ($84) for 100 magnatiles last year and thought that was expensive. They have gotten tons of use, and if these blocks are as popular, they're worth it. If not, gulp. Do your kids like them, and how old are they/how many tegus do they have?

Yes, me too! I don't have any kind of code, so the discount doesn't show up for me. Dd2 got her Tegu Tints last night for Hanukkah and she is crazy about them! I'd love to get another set to save for her bday.
