ISO black athletic pants, straight-leg, short length, size medium

My mom said she needs some new pants to wear to Boot Camp and she is very specific about what she wants -- black, without a flare at the bottom and not tight all the way down. They must come in a short length. Any suggestions? I found some for me that I love at Sam's Club of all places (Tangerine brand), but they don't come in short length and mine were too long when she tried them on.

We don't have Costco in my town (yet), but I have a membership and may be able to get to one in the next few weeks. They don't seem to have these kind of pants online but I think they had them last year in different lengths.

I have awesome pants from Costco that would fit the bill (black, straight leg, come in short) but I'm not sure whether they have them in stores right now. They are the Kirkland brand.

Maybe Lands End? Not the same price point as Costco, though. And I don't know what the "control" part is about.

I got those 3 years ago in the crazy pre-christmas Lands End sale and they are my go-to pants when I don't have to go anywhere. They are so comfortable and fit really well - and they have held up to 3 years of washing (normal wash & dry - no special treatment).

If those don't work out try target. I have some in short that are a roomy yoga style. No flare. From their champion line.
