DD (11) wants one for Christmas. She hasn't asked for a lot so I'd love to get her a really good one. I guess Costco had one in September but its long gone at my store.

I went to my local home goods and they didn't really have a good selection. Lots of throws but none were Sherpa.

I don't know if you have a Tuesday Morning near you, but I saw some nice ones there recently.

I second this! I bought one for myself a few weeks ago and my DD has claimed it as her own. It's so soft and warm- but quite large! My DD is now getting her own for Christmas :)

I'll second this. DD got one for xmas 2 years ago. It is velour type (minky??) on one side and sherpa fleece on the other. It's so random though. I can't recall if I got at Marshalls, Home Goods or Ross, but was def one of those.

Thanks PP for the rec on the Sams one. DS2 needs a blanket and his fave color is purple so will have MIL see if our sams has purple in stock.

It might be worth a call around to other Costco locations if you have more than 1 nearby. I have been somewhat obsessed with them since first discovering them at a store back in Sept/Oct. I know that I'm partially responsible for them selling out as I bought 6 of them and talked them up so much to friends and family that I know at least 6 more were purchased that way. My mother actually went the other day to buy more and they were gone at the store where she looked (even though I'd seen a bunch there just a few days earlier). I was at a different location today and they still had about 18 of them but they were down to only 2 color choices. Anyway, it might be worth a call. I think they are amazing blankets and at $18 they are a STEAL. My kids love theirs and bring them around the house with them everywhere.

My husband thinks I should get the Snow Leopard version of this blanket b/c its more interesting than a solid. I'm just worried it won't be fluffy enough. Maybe I'll get this and look for a Costco one for myself.
