Today's Gift of the Day is kitchen accessories.

I'm considering an appliance for DD, particulary the stand mixer (http://www.potterybarnkids.com/products/chrome-toy-kitchen-appliances/?pkey=cgotd-jingle-bells&). Any reviews?

I'm interested in this as well! Does anyone know if the bowl is removable on the wooden mixer? I'm debating between the wooden one and the silver one.

We don't have the stand mixer, but we do have the chrome tea kettle and toaster. The tea kettle is by far my most favorite toy from her play kitchen. The toaster is a bear. It looks cute, but you need an adult to operate it. I don't know at what age DD will be able to do it herself, but at 3yo she always needs help.

Hmmmm...I can see DD enjoying the kettle too. Does your daughter like it? I like that it makes sounds.

Yes, it looks like the bowl is removable. It's just a neutral-toned version of the Hape mixer: http://www.amazon.com/Hape-Playfully-Delicious-Mighty-Mixer/dp/B00710LHPY/. Similarly, the silver one looks the same as this one by Casdon: http://www.amazon.com/Casdon-Little-Cook-Kenwood-Mixer/dp/B003QZMTD2/.

She loves it! She makes tea and coffee with it, haha. We love the sounds too. We got it for her the same year as her kitchen, so 2 Christmases ago? Still going strong!

Thanks for posting, OP! I might get a kettle or two as gifts...we have one and all the kids who come over love it! Definitely one of DD's most played with kitchen accessories.

ETA: Oh, and I usually don't like toys with sounds but the teakettle doesn't bother me.
