It's very thin...do you think this would be a fall/spring coat or ok for winter? I live in the northern mid-atlantic region (eastern PA).

I would want a thicker coat than that for winter!! I have a long Lands End down coat that is seamed to be more slimming and it looks great. I also have a down jacket from LE that doesn't have a hood and it is great for most things. But when I want to be really warm--then I wear the long coat. I also have a ski jacket and another LLBEan coat that I wear for walking the dog or anything else where I need to be really warm but I don't care what I look like!!!

I can't tell if it's supposed to be one of those new "super down" alternatives that are super thin, like the ones the LLBean and North Face now have.
Do you know which LE one you have?

I think for the price I'd do the LE or LL Bean ones, or even Eddie Bauer. If they don't specify the down count then it's probably because it's not worth mentioning, KWIM?
These LE ones are both 600 count which is good, and they are cheaper with the code out now for 40% of regular and 20% off sale.

That is definitely not a winter coat. Its filled with Polyester. If it was something highly insulating, they would advertise it as such. That coat will probably barely keep you warm on a 40 degree day, thats my guess!

Thanks everyone. I found and LLBean one that looks like a better option.
