I'm ready to get a great play kitchen- we have a tiny one I got at a consignment sale and it's the number one played with item in our play room. Kid craft seems to have good ratings on amazon but the kid craft stuff I have is pretty flimsy so I'm leery of this.

I'm not wanting to spend pbk $$$ but still want something sturdy that can take hard playing- my first kenmore from sears seems like it is geared more for older kids but I can't find any reviews on it.

Are there other brands I should be considering?

My kids have this one which has been handed down now to my 5 y/o who loves it. It's very durable and is probably 6 or 7 years old by now. It still looks great, and since it's plastic, it cleans up easily and scratches and marks don't show. I also like Little Tykes and Step 2, since some of their stuff is still made in the US I believe.
Edited, I put the link to the wrong one initially, we have this one:

I bought the Kidkraft Retro kitchen second hand from Craigslist - best kid purchase I ever made! It's still going strong 3 years on from that purchase and both DSs play with it daily. It's MUCH better than the Melissa & Doug play kitchen which started falling apart after just 3 months of play... I paid $50 for the Kidkraft one but would happily have paid full price. It still looks good and DS2 in particular isn't very gentle with it!

We have this one

It's a Kidcraft corner kitchen. It's very sturdy! It gets a lot of play by both my 6 year old DS and my 2.5 year old DD, and it survived a move with no trouble.

We have an older version of this Little Tikes one and it is fantastic. I highly recommend it. Super sturdy and has had lots of play for the last 9 years.

The Biscuit has the same one in red, white, and 'stainless' and we are very happy with it.
