I'm looking for ideas for organizing our arts and crafts cabinet. Especially to corral all of the markers and crayons, stamp pads, scissors and glue, etc. I am looking for something like the Container Store Smart Store inserts (http://www.containerstore.com/shop/storage/smartStore?productId=10037008&N=81664) but that will fit into a handled caddy like this one: http://www.lakeshorelearning.com/product/productDet.jsp?productItemID=1%2C689%2C949%2C371%2 C929%2C541&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=1408474395181113&bmUID=1424142398151 so that we can pull it out of the cabinet and take it elsewhere in the house. I am open to any suggestions though. Our art cabinet is a lower kitchen cabinet but we also have a few small shelves in the basement that we use for art stuff.

I just use plastic drinking cups. i have a brown basket about the size of those at LSL, and I can fit 6 plastic cups in it. i just kept trying different cups until i found 6 that fit snugly. they hold pencils, colored pencils, markers, scissors, etc

Disposable plastic cups or regular plastic drinking cups that you would keep in your cabinet? I need something sturdy. Thanks.

If you need sturdy, you could maybe use the jelly mason jars. They are a little more narrow than the pint size ones.

I use the smallest of theses (http://www.dollartree.com/Plastic-Drawer-Organizers-Assorted-Sizes/p174772/index.pro) (pictured at top) which are 3 for $1 for crayons, larger for pencils, markers and paintbrushes. I think they are bigger than what you are looking for as the caddy linked looks small and it seems like containers would need to be tiny to fit inside. Do you have any old popsicle molds that you could turn upside down and use as containers?

Not disposable. Regular plastic cups. They are thick plastic.
