Amazon for sure, but not Prime. Still cheaper than Starz. :)

Well, considering I've watched 7 of 8 episodes since I posted, I may be subscribing to Starz.

I was thinking about reading the book (books?) - should I or just go for the show?

I enjoyed the books. But, the show is a pretty good adaptation. I guess it depends if you want to read a 700 page historical romance. :)

Annie, the HD version was $22, SD was a few dollars less.

2.99 per episode on iTunes. I would buy them in a minute, if they weren't already all saved on my DVR. :)

TwinFoxes - I assume you love it?

I thought it was really well done. I'm not going to do spoilers, but it was true to the book in that you didn't immediately know who the love interest was going to be. (I mean, I knew, but it wasn't one of those things where they changed the book so much that it became obvious from moment one that this person was it...this probably reads like gibberish!) I felt most of the parts were very well cast.

I even love the opening montage with the music. Normally I fast forward through those. It's more like a movie than a TV show in a lot of ways.

Yes, read the books too! It makes for a more complete experience. The show takes some (really amazing) liberties with the book, so reading the book doesn't spoil the watching experience at all, it just enhances it.

But it's so much more than historical romance! I'm not one to read romance typically and this series has me hooked and then some. It's historical fiction with romance, adventure, suspense, etc. It's not really comparable to anything else. And yes, I drank the kool-aid. :jammin:

I am right there at the punch bowl with you! I loved it. And I'm not a romance novel girl really, and totally not a time travel girl. :)

On what streaming service?

iTunes and Amazon both carry it streaming.

Word on the street (from folks in the know) is you get more access to "extras" (like the stuff on the Blu-Ray) if you go with iTunes over Amazon.
