I have to go to a dinner this weekend honoring one of DH's colleagues. He is being honored as part of the St. Patty's day celebration in town and this will be a large dinner...email about attire says "step above work attire" and says men usually wear suits and some women get very fancy, others not so much. And then it adds, the theme is "March into Spring" and make sure to wear green! Help!! I have nothing in my closet that seems to fit that bill...

It is such a weird time of year to dress anyway...today is the first day that it has hit 30 degrees in a month and we still have feet of snow on the ground, even though it is approaching mid-March!

Any ideas for me?? Thanks!

I went to a dressy event this weekend. Cold, snow on the ground. People wore cocktail dresses, most had some sort of leg covering but a few bare legs here and there. If the event is inside, I say anything goes b/c you don't really need to factor weather in.
I saw this dress a while back when shopping for someone else here http://www.modcloth.com/shop/dresses/bead-it-dress-in-emerald
My friend just wore this to an event and she was smoking hot in it! http://www.modcloth.com/shop/dresses/bead-it-dress-in-emerald
I've also posted this one. Note that none of the pictures of real people show the dress as short as the model and all the reviews question the length shown in that picture. It looks great on the real customer photos: https://www.renttherunway.com/shop/designers/halstonheritage_dresses/greentropicsdress
