I need at least one pair of shoes for spring/summer. Wish list:

* Some heel to lengthen my leg/dress things up at least a bit.
* Comfortable to walk around in on vacation - not so much during the day, but more dinner/evening
* Wearable with jeans/nice shirt, or skirt/casual dress
* Under $100, or at least close to that.

I got these from Zappos - and I *think* they fit the bill but something is telling me maybe not so much... http://www.zappos.com/athena-alexander-mandie-black. The funny thing is that I had a similar pair in my cart from when I looked last year. (I ended up buying nothing as I had a pair that would do, but that pair is now one year older.) If it influences your decison I'm....at the older end of the demographic on this board :).

So - do you like them? Should I keep looking? If I should keep looking, links to suggestions would be very very much appreciated!

While I was looking, I also found these. They're definitely more casual, but I think would be fun with jeans and a white/black shirt, or casual skirt. Only question - is the crocheting too wide to be cute? http://www.zappos.com/skechers-indulge-earth-baby-coral

Thanks in advance for the input and help!!

I would worry about the leather thong thing between the toe being uncomfortable in the crocheted ones. I'm not liking the black ones much at all. What about a espadrille wedge?

I usually buy Reef or Sanuk flip flops right now I have 3 pairs of Sanuk yoga mat flip flops I love Im in florida so they are my standard footwear. Im picky about the inbetween the top part. I get those from amazon LOL

I could see the crochet also irritating the top of my foot and I also do not love the black at all. I'm not that keen on black footwear in warm weather. I've been eyeing these for a while but now of course I'll be hugely pregnant this summer so not sure I'll get them but I think the style looks very comfortable (wedges AND cork!) and flattering - good reviews from a couple of girlfriends who have them:

OK.. Thanks for confirming my thought on the black ones. ;/

On more requirement - no ankle straps (one of my ankles tends to swell and that draws attention), and sandals (with a back strap) are hard to find that fit well... So slides are easiest online. Love the idea of the ones Mopey linked if it weren't for the ankle strap. Will look more knowing that...but more ideas also really welcome!

I will be the outlier and say I really like the first ones you linked in both black and pewter! They look comfortable and like they could easily transition from day to evening with nice jeans or a casual skirt or dress.

I will be the outlier and say I really like the first ones you linked in both black and pewter! I looked at the Pewter, but was afraid that the wedge might look cheap in that color. If the tops of these, especially the pewter ones, could be on a cork wedge, I think I'd be really happy.

Just spent some time on Polyvore. What about these? (I go back and forth on these too - the 'bling' strikes me as a bit odd by the buckle, but I like the cork and that it has some black without looking wintery. The silver MAY be cute too. http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/onex-bettina-two-strap-slide-sandal-women/3945173?cm_cat=datafeed&cm_ite=1038163&cm_pla=women:shoes:sandals_slides&cm_ven=polyvorecpc&mr:referralID=a566be58-cb6a-11e4-82f7-001b2166c2c0
