M&D bracelet kit for party craft and favor? (age range 5-8)

Do you guys think these Melissa & Doug Bracelet kits would be fun for girls to do at a birthday party? Guests consist of three 5 year olds, two 6 year olds and one 8 year old.
If you think these are too young for them, do you have any other suggestions for something that we could do for a craft that they could also take home as a favor?

Depending on the kid, they might be too young for the 8 year old. Mine would like it, but I think some of her friends would think they are young. But, I think they are great otherwise and would not hesitate since there is just one 8 year old coming. Very cute.

Thanks everybody! That purse is super cute! I was able to get the bracelets for $4/pack so I went ahead and bought them. I think the 8 year old knows that this is a younger party so I think she'll play along even if she's bored. :)
