My 8 year old DD wears a cami pretty much everyday and I buy the cotton ones from Target. They come in a 3 pack (maybe 2 pack, I could be mistaken) and are either all white, or a combo of 1 pink, 1 purple, 1 white. They fit loosely (so comfortable to sleep in) and wash well. She's too modest to wear 'spaghetti straps' without something over it, but you certainly could. I'll check the brand and write back.

Hanna andersson makes excellent quality camis. I'd probably get a size M for that age.

Do the smaller size ones at Justice come without the bra/elastic in them? If so do you know what sizes?

Justice carries both camis without the built in bra and ones with the built in bra. My girls both prefer the ones without. Old Navy also has camp's without the build in bra.

The Justice ones start at size 6 and they wash well and last forever.

My DD wears camis under her clothes all winter so I always stock up. The Childrens place are nice soft cotton (we get the 2 packs) and last year I ordered from Marks & Spencer (5 pack) and have been very happy with those.

My DD wear Hanna camis underneath when its really cold and in the summer on its own. I've bought some from Target as well but the straps are wide and they show under her tees but the hanna camis don't. They're thick and love the quality.

Hanna camis are amazing, we have an older style in something crazy like size 90 that the girls STILL wear even though they're way too short. I like the new style better (the scoop neck vs the "v" neck which created an extra fold of material at the V). We need to get more for sure. We use the the same way as PP - underneath tops in the winter. They're nice because the cotton knit is soft AND really smooth so they never get bunchy underneath clothing. Layers glide smoothly over them.
