I'm having a hard time finding new tshirts that can be worn pretty much all the time. Something with a minor detail (like a ruched vneck - nothing crazy) that enables it to be dressed up as well as down. Nothing too tight or too loose, I want something that skims my body without making me look or feel like I'm wearing a sausage casing.

I used to be able to buy some that I liked from Old Navy, but they discontinued the style and all their new styles are either too tight or too loose. I wear these shirts until they're worn out so buying something trendy doesn't appeal (and I'm not a "fashionable" person so I feel awkward in things obviously on trend) and I look outdated when the trends change.

Gap's shirts aren't much better. They don't hang right, have boring necklines, almost always have a blasted chest pocket, and have limited colors. I ended up buying a few but I'm tired of only having shirts in black, white, navy, or some version of a medium blue.

I tried Lands End, but the tall tshirt I bought didn't go wide enough in the shoulders so the sleeve seam was on top of my shoulders instead of closer to the edge/arm. This one (http://www.landsend.com/products/womens-short-sleeve-lightweight-cotton-modal-gathered-v-neck/id_282967_58) has potential as far as colors and styling, except for the center-line seam in front (not usually flattering), LE shoulder sleeve seam as a potential issue, and the cost.

Any suggestions for a place where the tshirts skim the body, come in a variety of colors, and aren't crazy expensive (it's a tshirt!)?

Shopping was so much easier pre-baby! Being small chested and now having a bigger belly than before is about the worst combination for getting a tshirt that looks nice on me.

These (http://www.jcpenney.com/stylus-short-sleeve-v-neck-slub-tee-tall/prod.jump?ppId=pp5004960427&searchTerm=womens+stylus+t+shirt&catId=SearchResults&_dyncharset=UTF-8)are great for shorts, jeans, under a cardigan, etc. Come in tons of colors, and fit well - not too tight or too loose.

I hear ya on this part. Hate it.

If you have an outlet mall anywhere near you, try that. Loft outlet usually has some nice things that are more simple and less trendy than what's in the regular store. I have also found good stuff at Gap outlet, but it's hit or miss.

Some years I also find decent stuff at Target. This thread reminds me that I need to get shopping :)

I second the suggestion for Loft, but I also like the T's from Nordstrom

I always forget the B&M stores. I've been conditioned by Gap to only buy online for tall sizing. :)

I'll check out the JCP options. Loft doesn't appear to sell tshirts (or tshirts without a pocket - what is with that being included on everything?! I have pockets in my pants/shorts, I don't need one on my shirts for DD to stretch out or try to rip off.) and certainly not at anything coming close to a reasonable price. I'd spend that for a work wardrobe, but not for staying home with a toddler. :4: Nordstroms is very promising!

Target has some surprisingly nice vneck t-shirts by both mossimo and merona right now. I usually skip their clothes so was pleasantly surprised that these fit.
