Please help! I have a first communion for DS this Sunday and a 2 weddings coming up in May and June. I have these dresses and I need styling help!

1) http://www.landsend.com/products/womens-ponte-flounce-skirt-dress/id_274310 ( I have this dress in persian rose)

2) I have this dress in both black and "gulf teal" color: http://www.landsend.com/products/womens-sleeveless-ponte-sheath-dress-with-pockets/id_272080
(this is what "gulf teal" looks like http://www.landsend.com/products/womens-ponte-keyhole-sheath-dress/id_280137)

First off, I need to get shoes! Looking for a mid height pump- but not sure what color. It would be great to get one shoe for all the dresses (but willing to buy more). Basic black- but too boring? Pattern, like snakeskin or patent? Bold color, like pink or blue? I have tried the nude shoes (ala Kate Middleton) but I am so fair, I don't think it looks very good on me. I went to Kohls and Famous Footwear and had no luck. Going to DSW and Macy's tonight.

Secondly, do you think those dresses need a belt? I have this patent black belt http://www.landsend.com/products/womens-hardware-dress-belt/id_275648.

What about a jacket/sweater? It is still cold here, in the 50's. I have a basic black blazer and cardigans like this http://www.landsend.com/products/womens-supima-cardigan-sweater/id_234741. I have the cardigans in black, rose and dark pink hues.

Lastly, gold or silver necklace? I have both similar to this http://cdn.possessionista.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/Screen-Shot-2013-02-18-at-4.16.37-PM.png

Shoes, I am a sucker for a pewter or other metallic. I think they are versatile and add some interest. I wouldn't do black.

I don't think you need a belt. I think a belt would make them look more daytime.

If you can avoid a jacket or sweater, do. But, if you have to wear one briefly for an outdoor ceremony, the cardigan you linked seem fine to me.

I'd likely go gold with the rose dress and silver with the teal.

I think you could definitely find metallic shoe like SnuggleBuggles mentioned that would work with all those dresses! I would probably do gold with all 3 dresses just bc it might be easier to put with one shoe option. I have seen a lot of gold/bronze color shown this spring. I might consider big earrings and a braclet instead of a necklace with the 2nd dress bc of the keyhole detail but a long necklace might work too depending on where it falls. .

Eta: I also agree no belt needed, and if you need a cardigan, one you linked works, although dresses are dressier without one.

Thanks for the feedback. I have looked online to get an idea of what shoes are available instore. I really like the idea of metallics. If I can find pewter that means I would probably have to choose silver jewelry right? Most of the shoes I am finding in metallics seem dressy-maybe too dressy for the ponte? What is your opinion on these shoes?

I was thinking of wearing the green sheath for DS communion on Sunday and the red dress for the weddings.

Links won't open on my phone but you can go silver or gold with pewter. I like the earring idea vs necklace too.

oh, forgot to mention I do not have the dress with the keyhole design, it's just a basic sheath. I posted the green color to get help with picking the right color shoe. But I will dig through my jewelry to see what earrings & bracelets I have :)

I got that. Pp just reminded me as with a higher neckline, I sometime do earrings and fun bracelet(s) and skip necklace.

Checked the links on my phone. I'd at least consider open toe, peep toe or heeled sandal instead of a pump for the wedding. I think they will make the dresses a touch more youthful and fun. :)

I went shoe shopping and found a bunch of contenders. I started a new thread so I hope you can help me choose! No one except my 5 yo DS could go with me, so I really need your help! I really need a girlfriends opinion :)

Thanks SnuggleBuggles for your links, I really appreciate it. I need to get a shoe with some more coverage for these outings, so I am sticking with pumps for now.

I agree, pumps seem to businesslike and the dresses are pretty simple, so I'd do a peep toe shoe or something a little lighter.
