I'm looking for a pair of summer sandals that will be versatile for wearing with summer dresses, skirts or ankle length/cropped pants or jeans w/ nice top. Thinking day or night wear, for church, lunch out, date night, girls night, parties etc. I have a pair of gold sandals I wear often as well as a navy wedge and a ton of more casual sandal options for shorts or jeans/t-shirts. Open to different styles- gladiator, wedge, etc. and heel or flat (as long as heel isnt super high). Would love a color that would go with a lot, but not gold family since I already have a pair of those.

Anyone have a go-to summer sandal they love and wear a lot?

For some reason, these are catching my eye http://www.landsend.com/products/womens-amalia-ankle-strap-sandals/id_279116
A few years ago I had a pair of slides with a heel like that and I thought they pulled stuff together.

For just those occasions (which is nearly all the time since I wear dresses A LOT in the summer) here's what I am planning on getting - http://www.zappos.com/birkenstock-alyssa-by-papillio They fit and feel really great. Not sure why the reviews all discuss how they aren't narrow (?) but they are lovely on me. I wear a 9.5/10 and am getting a 40 in them.

I bought some Ecco sandals with a wedge heel a few years ago for my brother's wedding. They were more than I wanted to spend, but so comfortable and looked great with a variety of things. They wore well, but I eventually wore out the soles after a few seasons (wore nearly daily to work for three summers, including one summer while pregnant). These look similar, but are a lower heel - http://us.shop.ecco.com/women-sandals/ecco-touch-strap-sandal-262013.html?dwvar_262013_color=58998#cgid=women-sandals

I like all three of those that are posted above. I am in the same dilemma, but need something that is work friendly as well.

Yes, I just got these at Zappos and am wearing them for the first time today! I wear a 9 and got the size they suggested (along with one size down which was too small). I'm so happy to have a semi-stylish sandal with an arch!

What about something from Dansko? I have a style similar in height/shape to the Sonnet on this (http://dansko.com/Womens/Footwear/Styles/Sandals/) page and they are super comfortable and versatile. I wear them with shorts, sports, maxi skirts/dresses, capris, etc. I have a cognac color and that goes with everything.

Thanks all- I didn't do a good job describing but I'm looking for something a little dressier that would go with a lot when I am more dressed up than day to day wear. Something along the lines of the Lands End pair SnuggleBuggles posted, which I really like, but just not sure about the colors. I'm not as worried about comfort bc these would mostly be for shorter time periods with little walking- for example Mother's Day brunch yesterday, kids concerts, or dinner out. I sometimes do a dress for those occasions, sometimes skinny ankle pants with a nice top. My gold pair (they are t-strap sandal with a little wedge) is perfect for this but I feel funny wearing the gold when I want to wear all silver jewelry so looking for a second option.

OP, I think you are looking for something like a Tory Burch type of sandal, but you want it to be comfortable. How about these? http://www.zappos.com/donald-j-pliner-doli2-black-textured-pearlized-pat

Yes - something like that! I like the lighter neutral color in those (and I think the buckle is silver). I was hoping for a little less expensive, but I like those a lot and they are on the list! . :) I like a lot of the other sandals people posted too, just wanted dressier - I did a bad job explaining!

I placed an order for these last night w/Amazon, they on sale for $44 in my size in black, but if you want them in brown (or the Amazon price in your size isn't on sale) they are $59 I think after 20% off code (HELLOSUN) on Naturalizer.com, plus 16% cash back from Ebates. If I like these I will definitely order them in brown as well.

I tried on a style similar to what SnuggleBuggles posted and while I liked the style the heel part came up too high on my heel and it rubbed a bit, plus the strap across the top of the feet was a little tight, but I have really wide feet so have fit issues a lot with shoes.
