Dress for Summer Wedding

I need to find a cute dress for a friend's wedding in August. It's outdoors on a lawn in Malibu overlooking the ocean. I haven't been to a wedding in years so I'm not sure what's appropriate for this type of wedding. I like this dress from Anthro but not sure if it's formal enough.

Thoughts? Any other dress suggestions? I am 5'2" and pear shaped. I typically wear an 8-10 in dresses.

I think it will be formal enough unless the invite says black tie, but I have only been to one wedding outside of California (in Massachussetts) and that wedding wasn't formal so I am sure you will get feedback from others who may say that isn't formal enough.

Check Talbots too, they have some awesome dress sales and offer a nice range of petites. Order online though because in my experience no two Talbots stores in our area will have the same stock in a store. You can return to the store for free though and the associates are usually very helpful in trying to find sizes at other stores, which ship for free.

Also you might consider Rent the Runway as well ESP. if you think you will need something more formal.
