Here is the dress- in Navy. The wedding is in October- weather can range from 60s-85s and it's outside on grass. The bride wants gold shoes but is pretty open about everything else- I'm worried about walking in grass in heels so perhaps a wedge?? I also have VERY fussy feet- as in I can hardly walk in regular heels- I've never had a pair of heels that didn't absolutely kill my feet. I have super high arches and bad knees so I need extra arch support and as cushioned as possible.

I'm willing to spend some $$ to not be miserable but really don't want to look like a granny. Can anyone help?

I think something with a more chunky heel will give you more support, but I'm not sure it will look great with a bm dress. I have similar fussy feet and for weddings, I have to wear something strappy, I hate the typical dress shoe, the more shoe that touches my foot the less comfortable it is for me. I also have to make sure the heel is not too high. 1-1.5 inches is the perfect zone for me. Lower or higher than that and my feet and legs hurt.

Do you like TOMS shoes? I think these wedge sandals are very cute:http://www.toms.com/women/metallic-suede-womens-strappy-wedges

Hmmmm I've never worn toms as the typical flats don't seem supportive enough- has anyone tried these?

I have a pair of TOMS wedges though not that exact style. They are very comfy. I too have high arches and prefer wedges to heels and even flats usually depending I the arch support.

Not sure how they would look with the dress, but I am debating about a pair of these (http://www1.bloomingdales.com/shop/product/munro-slingback-sandals-abby-mid-heel-metallic?ID=1293122&pla_country=US&cm_mmc=Google-PLA-ADC-_-GS-Women%27s%20Shoes-_-Munro-_-730993456750USA&CAWELAID=120156070000556057&CAGPSPN=pla&catargetid=120156070000241135&cadevice=t) myself, I am just hoping for a sale soon. If not I would probably do a gold pump with a small heel (I like Ivanka Trump), or a wedge, I love Rockport's Seven to 7 lime.
