The Unofficial Guide is great, I also like the Passporter Guides, http://smile.amazon.com/PassPorters-Walt-Disney-World-2015/dp/1587711419/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1434377162&sr=8-2&keywords=passporter+guides

Are you new to Disneyworld? If so, I would recommend this one: http://www.amazon.com/Complete-Walt-Disney-World-2015/dp/0990371603/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1434377229&sr=8-3&keywords=complete+guide+disney
It has great pictures and the kids love looking through it too. I like the Unofficial Guide too but I think it's a bit overwhelming for first timers. I don't have this book but I love the website Easywdw: http://www.amazon.com/Guide-First-Disney-World-Visit/dp/194150020X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1434377427&sr=8-1&keywords=easywdw
Josh from Easywdw has great crowd calendars and I love his sense of humor.

I pretty much only referenced the easy wdw site. It was super helpful!

Another vote for the Unofficial Guide. It's invaluable for planning a first trip.

The Unofficial Guide without question!
:yeahthat: ...every time. I have actually found current versions at Ollie's as well. ;) And we get the kids the Birnbaum Kid's guide.

I'm not a huge fan of the Unofficial Guide. I know a lot of people are, but after using it for one trip, I found it to be overkill.

I MAY buy Josh (from easywdw)'s book before we go down again. I think a PP linked to it. He is pretty common sense with his recs & gives a good explanation for why he picks what he does.

I love them both too. I really like the maps in the passporter guides. I also loved that the unofficial guide had stuff about Harry Potter World at Universal, though, and Passporter did not over that cover that at all.

I'm also in the Unofficial camp. I bought my first copy in 1996 before my first trip to Disney. I love the book, but I don't agree with everything in it. My DD likes meeting characters, that is her favorite thing to do in the parks. It's not something the books tend to consider important but so it goes.

I also tend to look at Allears.net for reviews and sometimes I check out the DisBoards.

I used all the websites for planning information and used Passporter as a backup. I brought it with me and I thought the maps were great.
