Thanks! This is DS's favorite pencil. Unfortunately ours was all sold out. :( Hope they get some more in later in the week.

No coupon needed. I just called and my store has a bunch so I will go after work and pick some up.

I always send my kids through the check-out line and they each buy 3 sets.

There will be a better deal on the Sharpies later. I bought a box of 12 Sharpies last summer for a $1 a box. Either
from Staples or Office Depot.

Walgreens always has a Ticonderoga pencil deal every summer sometime in August. If I remember correctly,
it is 10 pencils for 99 cents. But they are sharpened!

The manual pencil sharpener is something that I buy in a quality version. It is extremely frustrating
to sharpen your pencils with a cheapy pencil sharpener. I just bought the
Staedtler Manual Pencil Sharpener (STD51163) from Amazon for $2.99 each.

Despite the fact the BBB is devoted to chasing the deal, I admit with gas so friggin' expensive nowadays, I rather pay a little more than shop in different stores each week. I do wait out the pencils, preferring the presharpened at Walgreens, but I drive by Walgreens every day; but OfficeMax or Staples are out of the way and so will pick up good deals, even if not great, to avoid the extra gas.

Thank you! OD is right by Sam's club where we were going anyway! DC and I negotiated 10 quick school supply trips this summer. We used up one :)

Was going to try this but I had to put in my rewards number to get the discount. And since we only have one rewards number in our household, no luck.

Went to pick up the pencils yesterday and they only had 2 packs of pink/purple. That won't work for DS but they said they will get more in this week. Not sure why they told me they had them when I called and the website showed the same thing. Very frustrating. It's only the .7 lead that's on sale. Lots of the wrong size lead was in the sale bin.

At my store, they had the .5, .7, and .9 on sale. I got the .5 myself. I also didn't need a rewards number to get the discount. Maybe because I went to Office Max?

I didn't need to enter a rewards number to get the discount.

Also, at my store, the .5, .7, and .9 were all on sale. I buy the .7 size for my 13 yr. old daughter and I buy the .9 size for my 10 yr. old son.

My kids are 10 and 13 so I've been doing the school supply thing for awhile now. Plus, I LOVE school supply
shopping so I enjoy it.
