Hi all: Yep, Nordstrom has just launched Early Access to their famous Anniversary Sale (http://shop.nordstrom.com/c/anniversary-early-access?) for cardholders. Here are the detail:


The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Early Access (http://shop.nordstrom.com/c/anniversary-early-access?)starts today! Nordstrom cardholders can shop their most popular sale 8 days early so make sure your readers get first dibs on the best stuff. Shop online July 9-16 to get brand-new fall arrivals on sale for a limited time. Non-cardholders can apply for a Nordstrom card (http://shop.nordstrom.com/c/rewards-cards), get an instant decision and start shopping the Early Access Anniversary Sale right away.

Just to be clear: Early Access is July 9-16. The regular sale starts July 17 (http://shop.nordstrom.com/c/anniversary-sale)! Mark the calendar! And watch this forum, as we will have an Official Deals thread when the regular sale launches July 17.

Every year I wish I had a card for this sale, but I am sure I would overspend if I did. You can get early access with their debit card too and then you can't overspend :) You get access the same day you apply for it so it's not too late, lol. I went today and mostly window shopped. I also really want a barefoot dreams striped cardigan but can't justify it right now :(

On the fence about ordering the Tory Burch Melinda flats (http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/tory-burch-melinda-ballet-flat-women-nordstrom-exclusive/4009958?origin=category-personalizedsort&contextualcategoryid=0&fashionColor=Platinum+Leather&resultback=6360), they are $164.50 (reg. price is $250), but they are just so much money! If I can brave the mall I might just have to try them, but they don't come in wide so just praying they run narrow.

I also debated about this Taylor wrap dress (http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/taylor-dresses-print-jersey-scuba-faux-wrap-dress-regular-petite/4004473?origin=keywordsearch-personalizedsort&contextualcategoryid=0&fashionColor=&resultback=0), but decided this dress may end up at a local Nordstrom Rack this fall. We have a good one that gets lots of store merchandise, which is usually lots of leftover anniversary sale stuff.

Overall though especially in the beauty buys I think this sale is really lacking. Clothing and jewelry wise everything I really want is $300+. so definitely not happening on my budget.

If all this goes back then I might pick up some more Natori bliss panties which I love. I want the Kate Spade glitter earrings too.

Oh! I love this sale. My favorite shopping event of the entire year. For me this sale is about 2 things... Underwear stock up (bra's and Hanky Panky's) and boots. Neither of which I bought this round (LOL)

I will admit I've been discouraged over the years with many of the sale tops I've bought, and I think some times you can get a better deal at Nordstroms Rack on some of the mid priced options (womens clothes especially). I try not to buy much of that in advance, just if I'm planning to wear now and is a definite NEED not WANT.

I usually spend more at this sale than I would like to admit, but it's the time I allow myself to have one special splurge (like Frye Boots or a Burberry trench). Honestly I am now stocked up on Boots and have a trench from previous sales, so looks like I might not have a big ticket item this year (Hallelujah!!). I also stocked up on Hanky Panky's last two years, and don't need to restock yet (so there another big chunk saved).

Tips and Tricks:
1. They do add new things during the sale (especially when it goes live to the public)and I noticed a few new things online today not there yesterday.
2. They sometimes restock, but don't count on it. I really almost bought a pair of ippolita earrings (my big splurge list), but last night the black and kelly were sold out. Those are both back online this am.
3. Alot of stuff shows up in about 3 months at the Rack, so if you don't love it, you might get another chance at it
4. ALOT of stuff is on sale that is from spring/summer that might be a better deal than the fall stuff-so don't forget about the regular "clearance" sections separate from the Anniversary Sale section.
5. I usually find better prices on Jeans at the Rack, so never buy them at this sale, but YMMV
6. Lots of fashion bloggers post their favorites, and it can be a great way to pick some gems out of the massive amount on sale now. Just be aware if you click on their link they usually get a bonus when you buy (From everything in your cart, even if it's months later). So if that bugs you, don't forget to clear your cookies on your browser before you purchase online!!! Two that are very complete in their reviews are PintrestToldMeTo (has already started posting) and YouLookFab (usually does multiple posts after the sale is live to public).
7. Some things are special made for the sale, and might not be the same level as what they normally sell. Just buy with caution (I'm looking at YOU- AGL!)

I thought about using my triple points as well, but I figured I would rather use it when there aren't any double points specials. I haven't bought any Hanky Panky thongs in about two years, which is okay because again those show up at the Rack around Christmas too.

Zella capris/leggings are my favorite! They are the only bottoms I wear to workout in. I also love their fitted jackets. I'm buying more!!

So I just worked out for the first time in those high waisted Zella Capri's. VERY NICE! Comparable to the Lucy "Perfect Core" pant. Really tucks in my post baby belly without discomfort and doesn't roll down on the treadmill.

I am technically a M in these (size 8-10 pant, and I squeeze into a size 10), but the SA told me to size down for more compression. I bought the small and totally agree. The back of the capri is mesh, which I think looks a little weird in the mirror, but feels fine. The full length doesn't have the mesh.

I might break down and buy another pair!!
