We are driving to Disney from NJ and need suggestions on where to stop and stay. Thinking of Savannah but open to other areas. We allocated two nights traveling before our check in day.

Savannah is wonderful! How old are your kids? There is a train roundhouse museum, the waterfront, tourist trolleys, Forsyth park, water taxis and wonderful food - plus Tybee island.

one time we stayed close to Hilton Head (in a marriott inland) and spent the day (new year's day) on the beach. That was a fun stop!
