Buy a roll of Coban/vet wrap. You can find fun colors http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Dhpc&field-keywords=vet+wrap

When my kids were younger, a teacher suggested these: http://www.amazon.com/Pencil-Grip-Universal-Ergonomic-TPG-11106/dp/B001SN8HOY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1440707418&sr=8-1&keywords=pencil+grips and we loved them. I had also tried these: http://www.amazon.com/Classics-Triangle-Pencil-1-75-Inch-TPG-16212/dp/B00FQQRRIQ/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1440707474&sr=8-3&keywords=pencil+grips but we weren't big fans of the triangle ones.

If you can take DC to a teacher supply store or somewhere that stocks them, they usually have them out to try. My kids prefer different kinds. One DC did OT for fine motor issues and was able to try a bunch. We liked the Y-shaped pencils and the strangely shaped kind... Will have to add links in a minute.

One version of the y-shaped pencils: TWIST N' WRITE PENAGAIN CHILDRENS PENCILS, 4-Pack https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CBU1H3Q/

Crossover grips (currently there's a 15% off coupon on Amazon on the listing): The Pencil Grip Crossover Grip Ergonomic Writing Aid for Righties and Lefties, 6 Count Metallic Colors (TPG-17706) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001SN8HPI/
