We head out Friday for California, first stop is a family wedding (boys are ring bearers) and then to Yosemite. We are going directly from the airport to the rehearsal dinner, and I am trying to figure out what to wear. Mostly focused on pants/skirt, because I can figure out a top.

So what would you recommend to wear for flying, then rehearsal dinner, and then maybe something I could even wear in Yosemite?? The wedding is not super fancy, if that helps...` I am planning on wearing flats on the plane, Cole Haan in a dark pink color. It needs to be either on Amazon (prime 2 day shipping), or something I can get at most mall store, since I don't have time for regular shipping at this point.

I was thinking maybe something like this?

Thanks!!

I'm doing some similar traveling soon and plan to wear this dress with a cardigan or denim jacket and flats or wedges http://www.loft.com/diamond-jacquard-flare-dress/380576?colorExplode=false&skuId=19205670&catid=catl000013&productPageType=fullPriceProducts&defaultColor=6600

ETA- those pants are cute too.

If you can get to Eddie Bauer, I recommend this skirt (http://www.eddiebauer.com/product/women-s-aster-convertible-dress-to-skirt/23150339/_/A-ebSku_0311208100000030__23150339_catalog10002_en__ US?showProducts=111&backToCat=&previousPage=SRC&tab=&color=100). Easy to wear, doesn't wrinkle, packs small, washes well. Can be dressed up or down.

Dark rinse jeans?

Do you have a Costco nearby? I have a pair of stretch skinny trousers (maybe Calvin Klein?) from Costco that are super comfy for the plane and can be dressed up or down.

For travel and the rehearsal dinner, I would probably wear a knit maxi skirt (or dress) with a tank or tee shirt and a cardigan or jacket on top. I find long skirts to be at least as comfortable as pants, and I always like to have layers when I am flying as cabin temperatures can fluctuate.

Something like this http://www.target.com/p/women-s-striped-maxi-skirt-merona/-/A-16745566#prodSlot=_1_5 can be dressed up or dressed down.

You've gotten some great suggestions above. If you end up with a dress like the cute Loft one above you might want to wear leggings under it on the plane. I always seem to freeze on long flights so do this a lot. I don't know if it's the most fashionable air travel choice but it's certainly comfortable and the leggings can do double duty as PJ bottoms during the trip.
