I want to organize "packages" of glue, adhesive hooks, furniture protectors and other household items that have specific instructions that I don't want to lose (written on the cardboard packaging). I need to keep the packaging also to identify them in some cases, like the nondescript rolls of mirror mounting tape!

They are generally around six inches tall. When I say packages, I mean these sorts of things:

i prefer to store them standing so I can flip through them. These go in my coat closet on a shelf.

any ideas?

I store them in a medium multipurpose bin, but they aren't super organized. Just tossed in there. I have a cube storage unit in my laundry room (high) and 2 medium MPB fit per cube. Wall mounting/glue in one, batteries in another.

Unfortunately my beloved MPBs are too tall for the space, and there's a slope :( I currently have a bit plastic box with various items, but it's impossible to find anything in there.

Glue sticks and other school supply type items are in the ikea white drawer thing...but 3m hooks, etc are in plastic shoeboxes on a shelf in the office.

I take pictures of them with my phone and save them in Evernote, because it does text recognition. Cuts down on clutter!

That's smart. I haven't done it with instructions (I always look it up online), but I save pictures of those odd batteries I need for watches, keyless entry, etc. and save to evernote so I have it on my phone.

I like the Evernote idea!
Yesterday I found a set of stackers boxes at costco, and one of them is the perfect size for me to keep the packages upright (at a slope). I'm keeping other household items in the other small boxes- one is perfect for my picture hangers, etc. They are now $19.99.

I have 2 caddies like this that I have on a shelf in a hall closet. One is for sticky items, so all the different types of tape, command hooks and strips, putty for framed pics, etc. The other one is for all my different packs of screws, nails, wall anchors, picture hangers, etc.

Then I have this clear over the door shoe organizer on the back of my laundry room door for random stuff like glue sticks, packets of seeds, etc. DH and I also each have one on our side of our closet with extra shoelaces, shoe inserts, usb cords, and other random stuff.
