At this point, it's just on his wish list. I haven't looked into whether there is anything reasonable or not! His friend bought one with his own money and spent $500 on it, which isn't happening as a gift :).

Not exactly a 3-D printer, but still looks fun - I remember watching a video about it last year. $90

We've already started gift giving for Hanukkah, but here are their lists:

Dd1 - 12
ipad mini
Jurassic World and Hunger Games dvds

Dd2 - 10
drone
ice skates and lessons

Both girls
American girl clothes, accessories
Clothes - they were comically disappointed but both wore them to school the next day. ;)
Real tool set for smaller hands
Polar Bear bottles - I was surprised how happy they were about these
LearnToMod coding lessons using Minecraft
Dominion game - for the family

One night we give charity, so this year they are each getting Kiva money to lend.

Missym, I would love to know more about the LearntoMod.

Would love to get a robotics kit, but unsure of which one. He got the Snap Circuits Rover kit two yrs ago, and only now put it together. He really enjoyed it, though.

Edit: bought the Meccano meccaNoid G15; robotic kit that got great reviews

We will be setting it up tomorrow, so I'll let you know what we think. I also looked at the YouthDigital course, but this one is much more affordable.

DD, 14, has asked for a new fluffy, plush robe, some makeup stuff, books, a new soft hoodie that's on the long side like a tunic, new supplies for sketching and drawing. So far she's getting a set of Prismacolor pencils, a sharpener or two, a How to Draw Cool Stuff book, a book about MC Escher, some new makeup plus a Sephora gift card, a set of cosmetic/organizer bags, a hoodie and some other clothes including a super soft fluffy infinity scarf.... still looking for the robe.

Twin DSs, 12: both have some specific Pokemon cards they want. One wants some Lego stuff and a WWII Aces Wii game; the other asked for the Nerf N-Strike Modulus ECS-10 Blaster. They will also get the Anki Overdrive set, which I think they will love, and will each get their own Costco sherpa throw so that don't keep trying to steal their sister's. One is getting the Fablehaven book series and the other is getting the World Almanac 2016. Their birthday was in November, when they got the Guinness Book of World Records 2016 and the 2016 Ripley's Believe it or Not ~ they get those each year either for birthday or Xmas, and love them.

All three kids are getting lined Crocs for slippers. Their stockings will include Toblerone bars, fuzzy socks and headphone splitters. :)

This is going to be a much less techy Xmas than past years!
