Walmart $30 box deal ungettable

My closest store was sold out within an hour of opening last night. The toy manager told me that they did not expect to restock for today.

It does not appear to be available online at all.

Any ideas?

I'm trying to buy one as well. I had one in my yesterdayat 4 am, but check out was so slow that it was gone by the time I could check out. In years past, they have showed up online again after being sold out. This is how I bought one last year. I am going to keep checking back online.

I have seen the Lego box in the stores past Black Friday. We have 2 Walmarts in our area and often one has a lot of them and the other is sold out.

I'm in MI. About an hour ago it was available for online checkout to pick up at my local store. I've already received the text saying it's ready for pick up. :shrug:

Is it the box with 1500 pieces? There is another box for $30 that only has 580 pieces that shows available for store pick up. If you did get the 1500 one, good for you! I've never been able to get one. sigh...

I am so disappointed. It seems like it went on sale online Thursday morning (12am) instead of Friday morning(12am). So it's all sold out online.
If i had known, I would have stayed up for it.

As PP mentioned last year it would go in/out of stock online over the weekend. Just keep trying?

I did get them (hypothetically ship to store ETA 12/8) - but had to get up at 3 am Thursday morning (so, Thanksgiving eve) to do so. They went live at 12 am PST Thursday morning. I'm not sure it was worth the middle of the night wakeup. The site was bogged down and it took a solid 45 minutes. My DH thought I was nuts.

I did the same, except it was my toddler who woke me up at that early hour, so I was up already. It took me 30 minutes to cart and checkout too. The site was SO slow!!

I think it was a momentary fluke. I wish I had just checked out and paid the shipping but I added 2 more items to my cart and by the time I went to checkout it was up to $45. Must have been a fluke. And, my order for in-store pickup was cancelled. DS does not need these. I don't want to pick them up off the floor. But for $30 I must have them.
