We will be traveling over the holidays so I'm carrying all Santa gifts with us (which are restricted to stocking stuffers). DD1 (9.5) has asked for new art supplies. and DD2 (5) is *obsessed* with tape - takes over and uses up every roll of scotch tape we have. DD2 has also recently discovered a love for drawing (mostly done with pencil, on post-it notes which she leaves all over the house), and her teacher told us it would be good for her work on her fine motor skills. DD1 is quite a skilled artist, so I'm thinking something unusual she doesn't already have.
I'd love any suggestions for portable gifts for the two of them, ideally available on amazon.com using Prime! Thanks!
ETA We will be taking some long flights in the coming weeks, so I'd also welcome any ideas for activity books or things to keep them busy on the plane (other than electronic gadgets, which we will have!).

I would get her a nice sketch book and pencils set.
Something like this: http://www.amazon.com/Art-Supply-Premium-Spiral-100-Sheets/dp/B00PG6NKX2/ref=sr_1_38?ie=UTF8&qid=1448810709&sr=8-38&keywords=sketch+book+spiral

I'm a huge fan of the Prismacolor pencils. They're high quality art supplies that your child will be able to keep using as they get older. I'm also a big fan of Copic Markers. They're insanely expensive though and I've never seen them on sale in the US. We're going to try the Derwent water color pencils because we caught them as a lightening deal.
Have you tried washi tape? It's colorful and is specifically meant to be decorative and fun to use.
Good luck!

You mentioned in the other thread that your DD also likes Pokemon. Maybe a drawing book:
http://www.amazon.com/Pokemon-How---Draw-Kit-All-Stars/dp/160438168X/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1448824408&sr=1-1&keywords=pokemon+drawing+books
http://www.amazon.com/How-Draw-Pokemon-Tracey-West/dp/0439434408/ref=sr_1_2?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1448824408&sr=1-2&keywords=pokemon+drawing+books
There's also Pokemon origami:
http://www.amazon.com/Pokemon-Origami-Fold-Your-Own/dp/1604381833/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1448824499&sr=1-1&keywords=pokemon+origami
I have also seen washi tape craft kits in the book section on Amazon.
