Regular sweatpants swim on DS. He wears a 10 skinny jeans and they fit like a regular jean. Slim fit of regular jean is still too baggy in the leg. I'm on the hunt for sweatpants, size 10, that are cut in a slim fit and with drawstring so I can adjust the waist - his waist is 23" so to get the length for his height, it's usually way too loose in the waist. He hates it when there's too much fabric in the leg or bunched around his waist. Any options out there?

Hanna Andersson slim sweats (night be called skinny sweats for boys). I've seen them in store and the girls and boys styles are pretty similar. The outlets have them for $15 now and will ship to your home. I got dark grey and navy blue for DD1 (almost 10) last week.

ETA the entire site is 20% off and free ship today (a once in blue moon event!) so you could order online if you want to try just one pair: http://m.hannaandersson.com/pdp.aspx?from=SC&pcid=10&styleid=44147&simg=44147_65R

Don't forget ebates! The outlet style is just solid blue and solid grey, which I kind of prefer.

My kids wear LE slim for cargo style pants and swim suits. For sweat pants, Nike and Under Armour run slim. I have also had luck with Target (Champion?) and Russell Athletics.

Thanks for the suggestions. Unfortunately, DS didn't like the look of the HA sweatpants. Grrr. I think we'll end up at a sporting goods store and try on every single pair of sweatpants they have. I checked out the sizing guide for a couple of brands. DS's waist puts him in either XXS or XS size, but his height is in size M or L. Currently he wears thermal long underwear pants that are baggy on him under his shorts for soccer practice, so he may need to keep doing this until his waist size gets bigger.

I actually lucked out and found some PUMA sweatpants at Marshalls that had a VERY skinny leg around the ankle and an adjustable waist. My kids also prefer them, because they don't like material bunching at their ankle.

I think these are them on the PUMA website - - but NO WAY i paid $38 retail...... i think i paid either $12.99 or $14.99 a pair at Marshalls:

Check Old Navy. My DS is younger than yours but he likes the skinny sweatpants. I couldn't find the ones I bought on the website but they might still have them in stores. IME, Under Armour runs narrow and long, but it's $$. Check Target too, the Shaun White brand has lots of skinny styles.

Gap has slim fit for many styles.

I've exclusively purchased sweats/jeans/khakis from the Gap for my super skinny, sensory seeking boy (needs tight-fitting pants) since he was 6. He is now 11.

The cheapy hanes sweat pants are actually slim. I used to be able to find them at target.
