I'm looking for a few new pairs of leggings. I would love to find some in a soft fabric, wider waistband that doesn't dig in, and works for petite sizes (I'm a size 2 and short). And of course not see through! Any recommendations?

I like the Vera Wang from Kohls. It was a rec from this site.

Hue makes a wide waistband that are really nice. I have a gray pair. They are a little long but usually tucked into boots anyway. I just bought some of the cozy lined ones at Loft (Lou and Gray) but haven't worn them yet. I used to like Boden (the material is soft) but they stretch out to quickly and need to be replaced.

Loft has a few -- they have 40-50% off stuff a lot which makes them reasonable.

I have this pair which is super soft, but I can't remember what the waist band is like: http://www.loft.com/lou-&-grey-cozy-flipside-leggings/394859?skuId=19985183&defaultColor=1164&colorExplode=false&catid=cat1880002

And I have this pair which are comfy but not quite as soft, and do have a wider waist band: http://www.loft.com/lou-&-grey-essential-leggings/381076?skuId=19308609&defaultColor=6406&colorExplode=true&catid=cat1880002

Both come in petite sizes. I am 5'3" and size 2 and I went for the size small, regular length because I was looking in store and selection wasn't fabulous. They are just fine, especially since I wear them with boots but I am sure an XS would have fit too, and petite would have been better if I didn't want to wear with boots which make it easy to hide a little extra length.

I'm wearing a pair of grey Hue leggings right now. It's very comfy and the waistband is wide and doesn't dig into my apple belly.

Boden makes fantastic leggings - and I hate wearing leggings because I find them too tight. They're really amazing and great quality too - no pilling or thinning.

I also like the hue wide band leggings recommended above.

I like the Hue leggings too. But they are long on me. I'm 5'4" and have to fold them up, which is fine when I wear them with boots, but I wouldn't be able to wear them with flats.

Thanks all- I ordered a couple of your suggestions to try! I also found a couple pair at Nordstrom Rack today- their brand with a wide waistband, black and gray, only a little long on me. They were cheap too!

If you have a Nordstrom card you can buy the Hue leggings and have them hemmed for free. I have about 8 pairs of leggings so I consider myself an expert. I have the Lou & Grey leggings from Loft and they are nice but I prefer the waistband on the Hue leggings.

That's great to know! Thanks! I picked up a pair of the Lou&Grey and usually Loft stuff fits me really well, but I felt like those leggings were too tight. I couldn't go up a size though - it almost felt like the material didn't have enough give.
