For instance post 320 about the a2 scooter - if I look at the post or click on it, it is giving a link to walmart but I'm pretty sure that the original poster used a link to amazon.

Maybe its just me but I'm finding it incredibly confusing

ETA maybe its just me b/c I'm finding the whole amazon shopping experience confusing enough this year to say forget it! Too many choices. Just give me my plain old 1-2 per hour lightening deals like in the 'olden' days of 3/4 years ago ;)

It's because of the ads they use here. You can opt out of them here http://www.viglink.com/opt-out/, but it's not 100%. I still have links that change and I've opted out.

I posted my workaround for bypassing links that spontaneously change in this post (http://windsorpeak.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?491003-Official-2015-Amazon-Deals-Thread!&p=4148131#post4148131), but I'll re-post it here:
I've noticed this happening too. Here is my solution, if it helps:
-- I click on Reply With Quote.
-- That gives me the plain text copy, so that I can find the original URL link.
-- I copy and paste the URL link, located in between the "url" brackets.
-- Once I have my link pasted, I can click on Cancel and the Reply box closes.
Here's a screencap:

Wow, I just though people were posting in the wrong thread. That's ridiculously annoying.

It is very annoying. I've stopped posting links, because once they change the deal is gone. I tried a few days ago but gave up once I realized that it was possible (probable, really) that someone would not only miss the deal but pay more once they clicked the "updated" link. I've agonized a bit over whether to say anything because I do appreciate the need for the forum to generate a revenue to support the expenses, but this link thing is counterproductuve.

I think it's annoying as H E Double hockey sticks. PLEASE MAKE IT STOP.

Hi there: You are right—that is not the way it should work! We'll check to see if there is a software glitch and we'll fix it! Will post updates,

I think we fixed the glitch. Can someone try this out and confirm that when you hit "reply with quote" your link stays intact? Thanks!
