hi all
my DD ( 5.5) wants Santa to bring her a pretend shop that she can walk into . I tried gently persuading away from this idea (a shop that you can walk into will be too heavy for Santa to bring.. hey look at these cool games :( ).She says "Santa knows me - he can decide to bring me what ever is possible" sigh!

so- help me with Ideas. should I get her this M&D stand

http://www.amazon.com/Melissa-Doug-Deluxe-Grocery-Lemonade/dp/B000VNXSS2/ref=sr_1_1?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1449180882&sr=1-1&keywords=Melissa+%26+Doug+Deluxe+Grocery+Store+%2F +Lemonade+Stand

I have too issues- we have NO space to keep it. We have a toy kitchen and a doll house in her room already.. :(

Help me find a deal on this?, if you think this is what I should get?

What about something like this? Then when she is done, it can just be a storage shelf. Have Santa leave her a note that she has plenty of toys for her shop but get her a cash register

We have the M&D stand that you mentioned. Honestly, the novelty wore off pretty quickly (even though DS1 BEGGED for one for months). Luckily it sits in an unobtrusive corner of their playroom but if you're short on space I would think of something else.

What about one of those cardboard houses? It's large, but can be temporary if you have a spot to set it up for a short time? Our kids loved ours!

This was DD2's wish last year! Santa should bring me a whole toy store. He got her her regular presents and a large cardboard box painted red with green "awnings." She turned it into her toy store and played with it for months!

And I think if none of those works for you than you can take the fall and say you asked Santa NOT to bring it because you knew it just wouldn't fit in your house. That way you're the bad guy and not Santa.

What about this and then she can create any type of store she wants?

I just got this for DDs for Chanukah for a puppet theater...and a fort, hideout, play house, and anything else they can imagine.

This thread makes me think of the super discounted $24.97 collapsible wooden/chalkboard lemonade stand from Costco a few years ago. I can't seem to find that model anywhere online anymore, but there are plans online for foldable or collapsible wooden lemonade stands.
