Magic Set for 8 year old

I bought this for my DS for Christmas so don't have a review, but I got it for $16 in November on Amazon. It looks like there is also a Melissa and Doug set that gets good reviews.

DS1 just got the Ideal My First Magic Set for his 7th birthday and we really like it. It comes with a DVD which does a good job of explaining how to do the tricks - so much easier than just reading directions.
