N/m. No email, but the credit was there at checkout. I combined it with 25OFFBOOK to get ds a $12 book for $3.86 and got a $1 digital credit. Sweet!

According to SD, if you don't already have an android device linked to your Amazon account you need to install the Underground app. If you already have a device linked (Fire, kindle, old tablet), no app install is required. That might explain why some people are able to get the credit without downloading the Underground app

I refuse to download the Underground app because it asks for a lot of permissions, but thankfully, I had an Android device linked to my account that worked! Free $5 credit, no download necessary, woohoo! Thanks, OP!

I originally thought the same thing, but when I actually downloaded the Underground app it didn't require any new permissions compared to the old Amazon shopping app.

On SD it says it's expired. I got the app, not the $5 credit, too.
