One transaction is not the same as one gift card. You can make one purchase (a transaction) of several cards, noting a max discount of $30 so only buying up to $300. This is what I did last year when they had in on BF and got many cards in different denominations.

I just tried with my Target CC and it only took off the 10%.

Also, as an fyi, if you buy on-line, you get an eGift card. You have to go to the store to get a physical card.

Should not be a problem. I shop at Target with a gift card 90% of the time (we use a fundraising site to earn cash) and buy smaller gift cards, Tracfone cards, etc with the Target gift card. I would assume iTunes would be the same.
