So I don't think I have seen this yet, but here is our holiday card (plain matte photo paper design from Costco):

DD2, 5, and DD1, 9

I love the blardigan jbbhb!

Great cards, both of you!

Our card was last on the list of things to get done this year. I think I'm going to make a New Year's Card when I get a break from gift wrapping.

I had to take a picture of our card with my phone, but you get the idea! They were done at JCPenney's. You can click on the picture to enlarge it.

I don't have a holiday card this year, but here's an awkward photo of my kids meeting Santa. Merry Christmas!

I had to take a photo of the card on my desk at work too since I can't figure out how to download a design at home (and am sending out some last minute cards today)

Yes, those are my two daughters.

Love everyone's photos!

My son isn't that easy to take photos of, so this is the best we could do!

I love all these cards as well! And sometimes the un-posed, silly candid shots are the best!

Hope I didn't offend you - just meant I remember them as much younger when I think of them!

Oh no not at all. I still think of Dd1 as being 5 with a bob cut and full bangs, and Dd2 just learning how to walk and a top knot pony tail from about 8 months until she was 2/1/2. Dd2 looks so old in the photo I chose too, and she is the same size Dd1 was at 6.5/7 so she is definitely older looking than 5.

Oh My!! I looooove awkward Santa photos--they are real treasures if you ask me! Our local newspaper once ran a full double page spread of awkward Santa photos that people sent in--they were truly hysterical!

Thanks Annie!! I feel the same way about DS2. I see him in my minds eye as a toddler and then look down and see this almost six year old looking back at me!

Thanks! I'm quite biased, but she is seriously the best big sister ever! totally the second mom at our house.

And I promise DD2 was super excited to meet Santa until we got her up there and she recovered quite quickly once I had her in my arms again. She loved Santa...from AFAR. LOL

This is one of my favorite threads every year (and I often think I start it). We almost didn't do a card this year - it's been a rough one. I lost my husband in April suddenly and we've taken a mellow approach to the holidays this year and I've just sort of followed the kids' lead as to what they wanted to do and what they didn't. They chose to not do a tree, but they really wanted to do a card so I did one. I really like how it turned out:

I can't believe I've been posting to this board for over 13 years. I know I'm not super active, but I really enjoy checking in 1-2x per week and I feel like I've gotten to know some of you over the years. I so appreciated everyone's support right after we lost Matt and I wanted to check in and let everyone know we're doing ok.

Jen, thanks for posting your card and update. I am an infrequent poster but remember your husband's passing and just wanted you to know many posters, including me, will be keeping you and your family in our thoughts and prayers this holiday season.

Beautiful card and family. I've been thinking about you too and send you good wishes. Excited for your trip to France this spring!
