I would love to order a birthday cake for DD while we're at Disney, but I'm indecisive about the design, as there's no standard cake "look book" to choose from, and the cake thread at Disboards is overwhelming (so.many.pages!!). Would anyone here care to share pictures or details about their Disney birthday cakes? Thankfully, we're staying at the Boardwalk and there's a bakery on-site. We're also having her birthday dinner at the Grand Floridian, which is another great cake resource. I appreciate any insight or inspiration, thanks!

We've ordered a few cakes and have been very happy with all of them. They were beautiful and very yummy!!

I ordered this one in 2009 at 1900 Park Faire. 8" yellow cake with white chocolate mousse filling with flowers and Cinderella's slipper on top filled with whipped cream and raspberries. It was $65.00 + tax & gratuity ($35.00 for the cake and $30.00 decorating fee). It was delicious!!!

This was from 2013
We ordered it from the Boardwalk Bakery and it was delivered to our room in the Boardwalk Villas. It was a vanilla cake with strawberry mousse filling, lime green fondant with silver Mickey stamps and pastel flowers. It was $75 including delivery, tax and gratuity. It was SO yummy....tasted just like strawberry shortcake!!!

This one was delivered to Garden Grill on 2/7/14. I spoke and emailed with Theresa of Epcot Food and Beverage. My mom and dad were with us on this trip and wanted a cake this time since they've heard so much about them. My dad's favorite is Peter Pan so went with that as a theme. 8" vanilla cake with white chocolate mousse filling and blue buttercream frosting. Decorations were a 2D white chocolate picture, treasure chest filled with gold, graham sand, a "map" and flowers. $95 not inc tax and gratuity. She gave me a breakdown of the cake (cake $35.00, 2D picture $30 and rest of decorations $30). The cake was delicious and the chocolate "gold" in the treasure chest was the yummiest dark chocolate!
