We need an outdoor rectangular dining table that can see 8-10 people. Extensions are fine as long as they stay in the table and are VERY easy for one person to extend. Thinking teak but open to suggestions. Any recs?

We have this from IKEA:

it was an ikea family special and paid under $250, and love it for the price!

We have a long teak extension table from Lands End. Not sure if they still sell furniture like that but with a good % code off, it wasn't too expensive and included white glove delivery/assembly. We're happy with it! Every year years we power wash it and it looks brand new!

We are basically looking for same thing. Also thinking teak, but was thinking teak table and maybe different armchairs (woven or something). That Ikea table looks awesome, but does it come in bigger sizes?

It's 102 inches long... That should seat 10, right?

With the end extensions up, we easily for 10 people at it. It works well for us because we are normally 4, but so easily can go to 6-7 with one extension up, and 8-10 with both up.

I just looked at it again and see that the ends are folded down in the picture and it's actually quite big. How does it look in person? Is it obviously ikea type quality (meaning basic and sturdy, but not comparable to higher end) or does it look like it would blend well with other high quality furniture? I'm asking because in the picture it looks comparable to higher end furniture.

We have this table in the oval option and frequently seat 10-12 people around it. We usually have six chairs around it and when hosting additional guests, we add a long bench. It's 80"-115" long and 48" deep and I'm really glad we have a table that deep. It provides plenty of room for placesettings as well as serving dishes in the middle. The leaves are really easy to deal with, but it does take two people to pull the table apart. I think this is true of all similar tables, though. The table itself it very sturdy and well made. I can't remember what we paid, but we bought it locally when they were clearing out overstocks during the winter, so we got a deal.

Saleenl, that table looks great. Where did you buy it (at a national chain)? How much was it? When did you get it--like when would they be clearing out overstocks from summer?

We bought it during April at a very small local store - not a chain. I don't know the cost breakdown for all items but we got 6 of these chairs (http://www.teak.com/usa/teak-chairs-1HOAS.T.shtml), one of these benches (http://www.teak.com/usa/teak-seating-1LI15.shtml) or something similar, and the table delivered for about $5500.

Both companies have store finders on their websites, so hopefully you can find somewhere nearby!
