Toys for 6 month old?

DD2 will be 6 months at Christmas and the grandparents are already asking for ideas (we will also need a Santa gift as DD1 and DS still believe! :) ). We do have a handful toys left over from the first 2 but not many. Any favorite toys with good play value for this age?? I already have a bunch of practical items on her list.

Ds3 will also be 6 months at Christmas.i have no idea, really. I have an activity cube, small cow ride on, pounding peg and ball toys and soft books.

I'm asking for board books, as most of our have fallen apart, and not sure what else.
