I hope not! I was carrying a Kipling bag at age 40. And may go back to it after my current purse finishes dying. I really liked the weight and how it worked.

Um, I hope not. I carry a Kipling backpack and a Kipling purse, and a Kipling cosmetics bag...and my kids have Kipling backpacks and purses too....hahaha. I take the gorilla off of mine though. They are so incredibly practical and well-made. They are perfect for vacations! Come home and toss everything in the wash and they're as good as new:)

The only times I don't carry a Kipling are for work (I haven't seen a work style that I like and I have an awesome Tumi backpack that I use for work) and for dressier functions like fancy dinner, concert... Other than that, my Kiplings rule every day life.

eta: I don't particularly like the one you picked though...if I can make a recommendation, I would say to choose one with NO VELCRO, and with the signature chunky Kipling zippers. Then, it will last and last forever. They have an extra 40% off sale right now - go pick yourself a more expensive bag!!!!!

I have an Alvar that I snagged for $30 at Ross (it's how I discovered the brand) and it's YEARS old and it looks brand new - I'm amazed at how well it's held up and it hold a deceptively large amount of stuff!
If you have extra leftover, get a cosmetic bag or pouch:)

I'm 37 and have a 10 yr. old so I hope not! I have an Alvar and wallet that I found cheap on Ebay that I use frequently. Very light weight, easy to wipe clean, and a good amount of space. Love the wallet too, very well organized. My go to everyday bags are either my Alvar or a Baggallini (have a few different styles). After carrying around a leather shoulder bag while running errands the other day my shoulder was killing me. Cross body bags are so much better on my back and shoulders!

I have an Alvar and an Alvar mini. I love the mini, when going out at night and don't have pockets! They are very light weight. I throw them in the washer and they come out looking like new. I also have a black dressier version, which I haven't washed yet. The one I have is similar to the Alvar, but has one less front zippered pocket and Kipling is in gold script, the zippers aren't as sporty and the cross body strap is also smoother and less sporty.

Nope! I am 44 and have a Kipling Alvar crossbody hipster-style bag that I LOVE...great size, lightweight, and fun print! I use it for WDW and day trips. I also took off the gorilla...and DD2 happily displays it on her backpack. As aside, I bought mine at TJ Maxx for A LOT less than MSRP. Love it!!!

Thank you! It was an awesome TJMx find!! The colors go with everything. I love this bag! Fantastic size, compartments, weight, and strap weight distribution! I love that its a lightweight cross body that can fit my bullet journal and iPad Mini or Kindle...love!
