I know recipe probably isn't the right word for salad, but does anyone make a really good salad that people seem to like? We are going to a friend's house for dinner and when I asked what I could bring, she said a salad. I normally make a pasta salad, but we are having pasta for dinner. I was thinking a chopped greek, but you guys are usually full of good food ideas, I wanted to see what you suggest. Nothing with meat please. TIA!

In that situation, I get a spring mix, toss on some dried cranberries, slivered almonds, and feta cheese crumbles and call it a day. Usually serve with a raspberry vinaigrette.

I would probably buy a kit at Costco - they have a few different types and all are good.

I'd make a good caesar. Yum!

Our family's favorite salad. We serve it every year for Thanksgiving:

This is one of my favorites. http://www.melskitchencafe.com/spinach-salad-with-sweet-spicy-nuts-apples-feta-and-bacon/

This is great too. I'd use less pasta if you're serving it with a pasta main. http://www.melskitchencafe.com/portillos-chopped-salad-with-sweet-italian-dressing/

For pasta, Caesar and no nut allergies to worry about.

Here's my favorite combo. (http://chasingsantee.com/minimalism-menus-buying-bulk/) We eat this at least a couple times a week and sometimes add extras to the mix. Spoiler alert: the secret ingredient is bacon.
